The Ruffwear Polar Trex dog boots are designed for warmth, traction, and protection in winter conditions. Insulated upper softshell fabric creates breathable, weatherproof warmth in extreme cold and inclement weather. Ruffwear-designed Vibram® outsole provides optimum traction on frozen surfaces.

Closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit. Pullover stretch gaiter keeps snow out and improves retention by protecting the hook-and-loop ankle closure from the elements.

Just as you would with your gear, adjust fit and check tension of boots 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure as needed.

I Couldn't Believe They Didn't Come Off

I'm taking my 8 year old Boxer/Lab for 4 days of cold weather mid/high elevation hiking in a few days, but I wanted to test these booties before hand. We went on a day hike in the woods on a chilly wet day to try them out, and I couldn't believe how well they did. We slugged through thick mud. We stepped through running water a little less than a foot deep. We played FETCH! Not once did they come off. Furthermore, his feet were nearly completely dry after I removed them. Don't forget to check the fit after 10 minutes. He was limping on one leg until I adjusted the straps, but after that? Perfection.

The boots seem to fit

The boots seem to fit my dog very well and look like they will provide the protection that I want, once the weather changes so that I can use them I will see if the stay secured while she plays in the deep snow.

Work great in the cold of Denver

I bought these dog booties for my son’s dog Blue. From the Denver dog parks to long hikes in the mountains, my son reports these boots work great.

You forgot about little dogs.

Very disappointed. My pug is an active little dog who keeps up with the big dogs. I have never been able to find a boot that fits and is well made. Your boots work great for my big guy but for my pug they just slide down her skinny ankles. If they were a fraction smaller on her paws and smaller around the ankle they would be perfect. Im just surprised you dont have a boot smaller than 1.5" would love to be updated if you ever begin making them. Her paws did measure in about 1.5" but the back ones would be better suited for a 1.25" which you dont make. Dont forget little dogs play hard too.
